505C NETWARE V3.11: SYSTEM MANAGER
The content of this computer-based training (CBT) course directly
correlates to the 505 NetWare v3.11: System Manager instructor-led
course. It teaches the fundamental skills needed to manage a
NetWare v3.11 network effectively. Beginning with a discussion of
networking and NetWare basics, this course teaches software basics
as well as how to set up users, directories, security and NetWare
utilities. Students also learn how to create login scripts and
menus, select network applications, and follow archiving
procedures.

Audience: System managers new to both NetWare and NetWare v3.11.
This CBT course greatly enhances training opportunities for those
who want self-paced or individualized instruction.
Prerequisites: Knowledge of DOS and hierarchical directory
structures, including knowledge of how to boot a workstation and
how to use resident DOS commands such as DIR, DEL, COPY, TYPE,
COPY CON, MD and CD.
Required Equipment: The following configurations support the
installation and execution of the CBT course:
Ñ IBM PC (or fully compatible) 386 class system
Ñ Microsoft Windows 3.0 or above
Ñ Microsoft-compatible mouse
Ñ DOS 3.1 or above
Ñ 4MB memory
Ñ 5.25-inch or 3.5-inch high-density diskette drive
Ñ VGA graphics adapter and monitor
Ñ 9 to 20MB storage on a hard disk or file server (20MB are
required to load the entire course; modules can be loaded
individually.)
