  3. The content of this computer-based training (CBT) course directly 
  4. correlates to the 505 NetWare v3.11: System Manager instructor-led 
  5. course. It teaches the fundamental skills needed to manage a 
  6. NetWare v3.11 network effectively. Beginning with a discussion of 
  7. networking and NetWare basics, this course teaches software basics 
  8. as well as how to set up users, directories, security and NetWare 
  9. utilities. Students also learn how to create login scripts and 
  10. menus, select network applications, and follow archiving 
  11. procedures.

  28. Audience: System managers new to both NetWare and NetWare v3.11. 
  29. This CBT course greatly enhances training opportunities for those 
  30. who want self-paced or individualized instruction.

  32. Prerequisites: Knowledge of DOS and hierarchical directory 
  33. structures, including knowledge of how to boot a workstation and 
  34. how to use resident DOS commands such as DIR, DEL, COPY, TYPE, 
  35. COPY CON, MD and CD.

  37. Required Equipment: The following configurations support the 
  38. installation and execution of the CBT course:
  39. Ñ IBM PC (or fully compatible) 386 class system
  40. Ñ Microsoft Windows 3.0 or above
  41. Ñ Microsoft-compatible mouse
  42. Ñ DOS 3.1 or above
  43. Ñ 4MB memory
  44. Ñ 5.25-inch or 3.5-inch high-density diskette drive
  45. Ñ VGA graphics adapter and monitor
  46. Ñ 9 to 20MB storage on a hard disk or file server (20MB are 
  47. required to load the entire course; modules can be loaded 
  48. individually.)
